BE AWARE. DONT SHARE. Lock Your Meds

Medications prescribed to you should only be used by you. Sharing prescription drugs—even with friends or family— is dangerous and illegal. The Lock Your Meds campaign reminds us all to store medications securely, monitor usage, and never share them. One small action can prevent misuse, addiction, or even tragedy. Keep your meds safe—lock them up and never share.

Why you should lock your meds?

Prevent unintentional medication overdoses in young children, adolescents, or adults when medication can be easily accessible.

Prevent access to medication by children, adolescents, or adults to help prevent substance misuse that can lead to substance use disorder.
