Community Coalitions

The Paint Valley ADAMH Board has strong community partnerships with our Prevention Coalitions. The following coalitions are comprised of concerned citizens and community members. They meet on a monthly basis and are always open to the public.

The Fayette County Suicide Prevention Coalition meets at 1:00 pm on the 4th Tuesday of each month at the Fayette County Health Department in Washington Court House, Ohio.

The Highland County Prevention and Recovery Coalition (HCPARC) meets on the 4th Thursday of each month at the Highland County Health Department.

The Highland County Drug Abuse Prevention Coalition Minutes:

The Faith in Recovery Coalition is a collaborative of government, nonprofit, and faith-based organizations that meets monthly to combat substance abuse in Fayette County. The coalition identifies strategies to decrease substance abuse, promote healthier life styles, and improve the lives of our neighbors battling substance abuse. Together, our neighbor can and will recover!

The Hope Partnership Project is a collaboration of federal, state and local partners and people dedicated to the hope of a drug free community. Ross County was selected in 2015 by the Ohio Department of Public Safety to implement a comprehensive approach to combating the heroin overdose epidemic.

The goal of the Hope Partnership Project is to increase public safety in communities throughout Ohio by developing effective community-based strategies that reduce the demand and supply for heroin and other opiate drugs. The community-based strategies emphasize and support cross-system collaboration.

The Pickaway Addiction Action Coalition (PAAC) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to combating substance use in Pickaway County in all its forms.

An agent of change since 2016, the Pickaway Addiction Action Coalition has developed and implemented many successful projects, including but not limited to:

- Prescription Drug Disposal
- Increasing Medically Assisted Treatment availability in Berger Hospital
- Stigma-reduction campaigns
- Support of "Angel" Programs through the Sheriff's Office and City Police
- Vivitrol in the county jail
- Establishment of an Overdose Fatality Review Team
