VISTA Members strengthen county & community efforts in combating the opioid epidemic
in Ohio by working with local partners, developing solutions and building capacity!
The Paint Valley ADAMH Board was created in 1967 to ensure the availability of community-based alcohol, drug addiction and mental health services. The ADAMH Board does not directly provide services, but contracts with a network of public and private health care agencies to treat persons in need. The mission is “to positively impact our community by supporting mental health and recovery.” The Paint Valley ADAMH Board has a vision to ensure that individuals and families affected by mental illness and/or addiction have access to a high-quality Recovery Oriented System of Care. Through strong community partnerships, the Paint Valley ADAMH Board will continue to lead and advance efforts to ensure Ohio’s communities are healthy, safe, and drug-free, while assuring accountability and effectiveness in client care. The core values of the Paint Valley ADAMH Board are to focus on clients and families, ensure timely access to care, promote healthy, safe, and drug-free communities, prioritize accountable and outcome-driven financing, and to sustain a locally managed system of care.
This project will assist the ADAMH Board in strengthening the county and community efforts to combat the opioid epidemic in Fayette, Highland, Pickaway, Pike, and Ross Counties. It will also work to partner with county drug coalitions to fulfill the mandate for county Hubs. This project will aid the county Hubs and the ADAMH Board through sharing resources via various media outlets.
