Paint Valley ADAMH 7th Annual Recovery Celebration honors individuals for community contributions

  The Paint Valley Alcohol, Drug Addiction, and Mental Health (ADAMH) Services Board is pleased to announce the recipients of this year’s Recovery Celebration awards which were presented during the 7th annual celebration on Tuesday, Sept. 9 at Bell Manor in Chillicothe.
“The recovery celebration is always one of my favorite events of the year,” Board Chair Tonya Sturgill states. “Seeing so many come together to celebrate not only the providers delivering the service, but more importantly, those in recovery, is truly heartwarming, humbling and inspiring. This year’s celebration was a true
testament that recovery is possible, and hope is our why!”

Awards were presented to the following individuals:

• Officer Justin Everhart- Crisis Intervention Advocate
• Natalie Krouse- Mental Health Advocate
• Ross County Post Overdose Response Team- Substance Use Disorder Advocate
• Cheyenne Daugherty- Peer Recovery Supporter Advocate
• Captain Michael Short- Community Champion Award
• Renee Rittenhouse- Tom Johnson Award

“Thank you to everyone who shines the light of recovery for others,” said Executive Director Melanie Swisher. “You make a difference every single day. I also want to thank Luke Russel from NAMI Ohio and Dr. Pam Johnson from The Recovery Center for sharing their encouraging and inspiring remarks with us this year.”
